ENJOYING THE RACING. With 36 teams of 16 fancy-dressed paddlers in Dragon Boats competing in heats throughout the day from 10.00am , and culminating in an exciting final in the afternoon, the York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge is one of the City's premier events, drawing great support from local residents and visitors alike, who want to share in.. Addressing the ceremony, the Director of the HKETONY, Ms Candy Nip, said the Festival represents the Office's commitment to promoting Chinese culture, Hong Kong traditions as well as friendship between Hong Kong and New York. The HKETONY first introduced modern dragon boat racing to New Yorkers in 1991 with 10 teams competing on the Hudson River.

Sun 9 Jul 2023 @ 5:21pm YorkMix News. There were crazy costumes and a festival atmosphere as the York Dragon Boat races made another big splash today (Sunday). Thirty-six teams competed to be named champions during a hectic day of racing along the River Ouse, from Scarborough Bridge to Lendal Bridge.. On the 9th of July, DGP Intelsius UK proudly competed in the York Dragon Boat Race 2023, finishing 17th out of 36 teams, and raising over £1000 for three fantastic charities. This was Intelsius' first appearance in the annual boat race on the Ouse, and despite the experience of the other teams, Intelsius managed a respectable 17th place.
